From the architect: “The mission is configured because the union of two housing items, inside a typical Milanese “casa di ringhiera.” The kitchen has been fully renovated, and now presents itself because the protagonist of the area, the point of interest of the home, an ideal place for conviviality and being collectively. The arched passage between the kitchen and the eating space has been maintained and brought as a place to begin to create on the one hand a brand new vaulted passage between the kitchen itself and the brand new research and on the opposite to mannequin the form of the vaulted hall that results in the sleeping space. The form of the arch was thus divided into two half arches, which spotlight the passages from the kitchen to the opposite rooms: the thought is that of a central area fully permeable and related to the remainder of the condo. The sleeping space consists of a visitor rest room, two single bedrooms and the first bed room, full with an en suite rest room. The flooring have been used as a method to outline and make clear the areas: the primary features (eating space, front room, research, bed room) are recognized by herringbone parquet, the connective areas by a impartial coloured resin, the thresholds by travertine slabs, the en suite rest room and the realm in entrance of it with geometric cement tiles. The selection for the final coloration palette is oriented in direction of the usage of gentle and impartial shades for the areas not affected by an important renovation processes (resembling front room, rest room, single bedrooms) whereas the brand new rooms and the connective areas are outlined by full and vibrant colours, reminescent of the ’80s aesthetic. Colours, supplies, and finishes assist create a steady system between the 2 beforehand separate housing items, making them understand as a single system of areas.”
